Avis Digital Signage Demo
The Problem:
My current employer, the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) www.aaae.org, wanted a digital signage demo of their Pass+ system that they could use to approach Avis Rent-A-Car Systems. The main purpose of the demo was to passively “soft sell” available car and accessory upgrades through digital signage that would be displayed behind rental counters. This would eliminate “hard sell” pitches from Avis employees. For this demo I also created a brochure design. Here you’ll find samples of the Pass+ Brochure Design.

The Solution:
To create the most persuasive digital signage demo for the Avis sales presentation, I focused my design around three key elements:
- Seamlessly fit within current Avis branding and design style guidelines
- Promote current upgrades and offerings to demonstrate the “value of the service” as well as how we are already in-tune with existing Avis marketing and promotional strategies
- Provide a proper balance between “informative” and “promotional” products and services so customer feels they are “learning more about Avis” as opposed to just seeing “current promotions.”
The final digital signage demo contained approximately 15 different slides (two of which are shown here.) These slides consisted of current promotions found on the Avis website and through existing marketing materials. It also included an equal mix of informative graphics that showed and/or explained the difference between each available class level of cars, insurance options, pickup/return policies.
